It’s very rare that we hear anything on actual streaming numbers for most properties, anime or not, but a few new details have been revealed from very different productions. Used as a way to support that streaming is where the fans are, and advertising should be focusing there, it’s been revealed that during its first week just on the NicoNico site, the first episode of Ninja Slayer was viewed more than a million times.
With Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold, Toei Animation came out and made the announcement that its showing is doing well as it’s had over 2 million viewings for the new season that kicked off on April 11th. With just the first episode streaming in 222 territories, they indicated that they’re seeing it viewed more outside of Japan than inside. Which isn’t too surprising for this series as it’s long had a strong international fanbase.
