CinemaCon is underway for those in the distribution/exhibition business in Las Vegas and there’s plenty of Q&A and more going on. One of those involved Henry Cavill doing a bit for The Man From UNCLE and the question came up about Man of Steel and how the new film is feeling as a sequel.

“I’ve only seen a little bit of ADR stuff, but that’s it, and that wasn’t even in color. I’m hoping to see it [the whole movie] some time this year, for a friends and family screening or something. But I really know nothing about what the finished product looks like. I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel. This is Batman versus Superman, so it’s a separate entity altogether. It’s introducing the Batman character, and expanding upon this universe, which was kicked off by ‘Man of Steel’. It’s an introduction to the [Batman] character, and ultimately an introduction to ‘Justice League.'”

Directed by Zack Snyder based on a screenplay by Chis Terrio, the film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth. Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa will appear as Cyborg and Aquaman in minor roles. It’s set to debut on March 25th, 2016.
