While initially planned for a debut on Monday with a special IMAX screening, a leak online has gotten Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment to bring out the trailer in full for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Naturally, lots of comparisons to plenty of other trailers, but I’m rather enjoying that they’re going as dark as they are here and are setting up a real battle of the titans to be had. There’s a lot of curious things to delve into as it progresses, particularly as we learn just how long Batman has been at this and what kind of whispers there are about him out there, and how a lot of other things figure in it too. We’ll likely see a really big push when we get to the Wonder Woman debut footage as well.
Directed by Zack Snyder based on a screenplay by Chis Terrio, the film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth. Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa will appear as Cyborg and Aquaman in minor roles. It’s set to debut on March 25th, 2016.
