The Super Sonico series is getting ready for its overseas home video rollout over the next few months and it’s expanding that realm a bit more. Hanabee Entertainment of Australia has announced their acquisition of the series with plans to release it on June 3rd, 2015 on both DVD and Blu-ray and in bilingual form. The release is priced at $59.99 AUD and has the twelve episode run. Their pickup follows the January pickup of the series by MVM Entertainment for UK release, where it’s currently planned for a late summer 2015 release.

Sentai Filmworks has a planned  May 26th, 2015 North American release date for the series on DVD and Blu-ray.

Plot concept: Saying Sonico is an incredibly busy young woman is an understatement. She juggles a modeling career, part-time work at her grandmother’s bar, performs lead vocals and guitar in an all-girl band, ALL while attending college! Not to mention taking care of her five cats. Or is that the other way around? When her workload gets a little too heavy, she can count on her fellow musicians Suzu and Furi, and the rest of her friends for a stabilizing influence. Get ready for the bounciest adventure ever as this three girl band shakes, rattles, rolls and takes Tokyo by storm in Super Sonico: The Animation!
