“Treasure hunters” on the scene

What They Say:
“Wizards Versus Hunters”

After arriving at the frozen Sun Village, the members of Fairy Tail try to figure out a way to defrost everything, but are interrupted by a trio of treasure hunters who may have the key to melting the otherwise indestructible ice… except they’re only interested in taking the village’s Eternal Flame for themselves.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
There are some strange goings-on at this village, now coated in ice. Treasure hunters have arrived on the scene trying to steal the eternal flame that the villagers worship as a protector, but Fairy Tail is there to stop them. Elsewhere, Erza is trying to figure out what happened. All the giants are facing in one direction, so they were facing someone and to their backs is the flame.

In main conflict seems to be Succubus Eye, who has recently added an old face from the Grand Magic Games: Minerva, the daughter of the former master of Sabertooth. As of yet, not much is revealed about them beside that they’re going to be fighting Fairy Tail at some point in the future, but it’s easy to assume they were either behind turning this village to ice or have the same motive as the treasure hunters.

The ending is played over Erza in a really pretty dress. It seems like all these end cards are going to be done by Mashima? Or at least these last two have been, which is super cool.

In Summary:
A lot of this episode was played off as comedy, which is fine, but that means there’s not much to talk about. It doesn’t help that this is really setting up something bigger with Succubus Eye, and Tartarus if I recall (but that could be later??). So I’ll keep waiting until next episode.
