All the oxygen is being sucked out of the room right now for Avengers: Age of Ultron, but right after that we’ve got the debut of Ant-Man, which will have a couple of months of promotion to work off and presumably a lot of good will after Avengers. The marketing campaign for that is going to go into full swing soon enough, but Marvel Studios has now let loose with one of the first better images of what Corey Stoll will look like in the film as Yellowjacket. We’ve seen the character before in a few shots, and illustrated marketing images, but little in the way of a more solid close-up like this. And if you look close enough, you can also see a tiny sized Ant-Man going at it there as well, which you may miss at first glance.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the film lands on July 17th, 2015. It stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, Patrick Wilson, Evangeline Lilly, and Corey Stoll.
Plot concept: Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
