It’s hard to believe it’s been a month since the Durarara!! X2 series started getting its dubbed version streaming online, but the growth of dubs as near-simulcasts continues to grow. With the first five episodse now up and available for fans, Aniplex USA has brought out a new trailer to highlight this aspect and bring us back into the world of these characters. The English language versions of these episodes are streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu as well as the Aniplex Channel. New episodes will be added each Tuesday until they get caught up.
“This will be the first time for Aniplex of America to release an English Dub for an animated series while it’s still being broadcast in Japan. Fans will be excited to know they don’t have to wait until DURARARA!! X 2 is finished to enjoy the show in English.”
The series is directed by Kirk Thornton and there’s a welcome surprise or two in the cast list below, including seeing Lex Lang involved in the anime world once again.

DURARARA!! X 2 is an anime adaptation based on the light novel series created by author Ryohgo Narita. Takahiro Omori will once again be directing alongside many members from the previous series. Studio shuka is responsible for the animation production and this will be its first major project.”

Plot concept: “6 Months Later…We haven’t changed at all… or it seems….”
Half a year after the turmoil that rocked the entire city of Ikebukuro— Peace has once again returned to the city and people are living each day normally. The high school students enjoy their days of youth as the strongest and most dangerous man of Ikebukuro works diligently. The informant plots a new scheme and the headless rider is pursued by the cops as she rides through the night…But soon this normal will be cut short by the abnormal. Slowly but surely, the unknown will seize the city and face an all new storm.
