Seraph of the End Hulu HeaderFUNimation usually waits a week before they bring out new simulcasts onto Hulu for secondary distribution, but it looks like they’re trying something a little different with Seraph of the End. Coming just a few days after its simulcast, it’s been added to Hulu as part of the Hulu Plus program, so it’s limited to paying members for it. But those paying members now get this show in HD on their TV, mobile and computer. So there’s definitely the value added side to it, which is what Hulu Plus really needs more of for its subscribers.

The series will be split into two cour for its run in 2015 with the first half running in the spring season in April through June and then the second half in the fall season from October to December. Anime Limited has already picked up the UK rights to this property while FUNimation has the North American rights.

Animated by Wit Studio, which will raise interest in it considerably for some, where it will be directed by Daisuke Tokutsuchi while Masashi Koizuka will serve as assistant director. The show will work off of scripts and composition by Hiroshi Seko while Satoshi Kadowaki will be handling the character designs. The series will star Takahiro Sakurai as Felid Bathory and Saori Hayami as Shinoa Hiiragi. The official site previously announced the lead cast with Miyu Irino as Yuichiro Hyakuya, Kensho Ono as Mikaela Hyakuya, Yuichi Nakamura as Guren Ichinose, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Yoichi Saotome, Kaito Ishikawa as Shiho Kimizuki, Tomoaki Maeno as Kureo Hiragi, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Shinya Hiragi. Aoi Yuki as Krul, Kenichi Suzumura as Crowly, Yuka Iguchi as Mitsuba Sangu, Atsumi Tanezaki as Sayuri Hanayori, Yui Ishikawa as Shigura Yukimi, Daisuke Ono as Norito Goshi and Yu Shimamura as Mito Jujo.

The series began in 2012 with the first volume releasing in January 2013. The seventh installment landed back on January 5th, 2015 in Japan. Viz Media began their releases this past June and has volumes scheduled up through September 2015.

Plot concept: After a catastrophic epidemic kills every adult on earth, vampires arise from the shadows to enslave the remaining human population. Yuichiro and his friends are kept as vampire fodder in a creepy institution masquerading as an orphanage. One day, Yuichiro’s dreams of fighting back are realized when the orphans stage a daring escape. But things go horribly wrong, and his dream is kept alive at a cruel price.
