Kazé Deutschland has added another show to their upcoming release slate with Aku no Hana, aka The Flowers of Evil. The series is being planned for two sets on separated DVD and Blu-ray releases beginning in June where we’ll see it in its original Japanese language form as well as a German dub while including German subtitles. No extras or packaging bonuses have been revealed for it at this time. Pricing and the formal release dates will be coming for it in the near future. The show is getting done in the Mediabook style that Kazé Deutschland uses for many of their releases.
The series was simulcast in much of the world by Crunchyroll and Sentai Filmworks has licensed and previously released it on DVD and Blu-ray in North America. You can see our thoughts on this thoroughly engaging series here.
Plot Concept: FLOWERS OF EVIL revolves around Takao Kasuga, who is caught stealing Nanako Saeki’s gym clothes by Sawa Nakamura whose cold attitude makes her generally disliked by everyone. In exchange for her silence, he makes a ‘contract’ with her, in which he must abide by all of her unreasonable demands. Initially torturous, Kasuga wants out until one day when things start to change between them…
