Kadokawa Reveals ‘Triage X’ Japanese Anime DVD/BD Plans, First Cover Art

Triage X HeaderWith the spring 2015 anime series Triage X close to starting, Kadokawa has now set the Japanese home video release plans for the property. The show will be getting a five volume release beginning on June 26th, 2015, with two episodes per disc. The release will come with limited editions for both the Blu-ray’s and DVDs as well as regular editions for the DVDs. The BD limited editions are priced at 7,000 yen while the limited edition DVDs are at 6,600 yen. Regular edition DVD releases are priced at 5,600 yen.

The first volume will come with an original soundtrack as the limited edition item while on disc extras so far include just the clean opening sequence.

The show, which is set to debut on April 8th, 2015, is officially scheduled for a ten episode run plus an OVA.  It’ll be directed by Akio Takami and Takao Kato based on scripts by Katsujiko Takayama and character designs by Akio Takami. Saeko Zogo with Nagareda Project will be handling the opening theme for the series.

The main cast previously announced includes Kenji Akabane as Arashi, Mikami Yui Kondou as Mikoto Kiba, Amina Satō as Oriha Nashida, Fuyuka Oura as Yūko Sagiri, Masumi Asano as Miki Tsurugi, Ryoko Shiraishi as Sayo Hitsugi, Takaya Kuroda as Masamune Mochizuki, Aya Hisakawa as Fiona Ran Winchester, Naomi Ōzora as Hinako Kominato, and Izumi Kitta as Yuu Momokino.

Additionally, an OAD is scheduled to be released with the twelfth volume of the series that will be coming out later this year. An OAD was produced with the ninth volume of the manga that came out back in September 2014.

The show is based off of the manga of the same name which comes from Shouji Sato. The series began in 2009 and has eight volumes released in Japan so far with all of of them released in North America by Yen Press. You can read our reviews of the manga here:
