‘Naruto’ Spinoff Manga Gets Debut Date

1 min read

Naruto LogoWhile the main Naruto manga finished last year, there’s still more material coming as one might expect. What we’re getting though is a bit of a miniseries run with Naruto Gaiden: Nanadaime Hokage to Akairo no Hanatsuzuki, which translates as Naruto Spinoff: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Month. This new miniseries is set to debut in the April 27th, 2015 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump and is being billed as the story entering a new generation.

Details about the artist/writer for the project and the length of the run have yet to be revealed.

The debut of the manga coincides with a number of things going on within the Naruto universe in Japan as a new film is set for August of this year, a stage play is coming and there’ll be an art exhibition to highlight the fifteen year run original creator Masashi Kishimoto had with the property. There’s also more novel material on the way this spring.
