‘The Leviathan’ Project Gains More Talent

1 min read

The LeviathanWith the three minute proof of concept piece out there for The Leviathan in order to draw talent, interest and funding, things are moving pretty quickly overall. The video was brought out by Ruairi Robinson, director of The Last Days on Mars, along with a screenplay by Jim Uhls that was shopped around alongside it. Now we’re hearing that Simon Kingberg has taken a primary spot with it, and with his first-look deal at Fox, could bring another science fiction film to the studio. It also looks like Neill Blomkamp has gotten involved as well, though in what position remains to be seen.

Plot concept: By the early 22nd century mankind had colonized many worlds. Faster than light travel was made possible by harvesting exotic matter from the eggs of the largest species mankind has ever seen. Those that take part in the hunt are mostly involuntary labor.
