The official site for Ninja Slayer has updated with a new extended anime promo that clocks in at about two and a half minutes, playing to the mystery at first before really revealing its overall design tone and approach. While platforms have not been announced for the overseas area, they do list pretty much all the expected territories with United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Northern Europe, South Korea, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The Japanese debut will be streamed on April 16th via Niconico with plans for a broadcast TV debut sometime in 2016.
The cast includes Toshiyuki Morikawa as Ninja Slayer, Sho Hayami as Fujio Katakura/Dark Ninja, Chiwa Saito as Nancy Lee, Sora Amamiya as Koki Yamamoto, Risa Taneda as Dragon Yukano, Masane Tsukayama as Laomoto Khan, Tesshô Genda as Clone Yakuza and Goblin as the Narrator.

According to previous information, Akira Amemiya will be handling the direction for the series. Amemiya has a good line of credits to hits name over the years, having started as a key animator that has moved up to episode director status for a number of series, including some fun episodes of Kill la Kill while also serving as series director for Inferno Cop. Yu Sato is slated to handle the scripts while character designs come from Hiroyuki Imaishi and Yusuke Yoshigaki. Studio Trigger is behind the animation itself.
Plot concept: Kenji Fujikido is a salaryman whose wife and child were killed in a ninja turf war. In a brush with his own death, Fujikido is possessed by an enigmatic ninja soul known as Naraku Ninja. Fujikido cheats death and becomes “Ninja Slayer” – a Grim Reaper destined to kill evil ninja, committed to a personal war of vengeance. Set in the dystopian underworld of Neo-Saitama, Ninja Slayer takes on SoukaiSyndicate ninja in mortal combat.
