Rei Horie’s return to Black Lagoon was definitely a great thing and Japanese fans got the tenth compiled volume of the series in May 2014. Now it’s almost time for North American fans to get their hands on it and Viz Media has brought out a look on their Twitter account about it with the cover artwork. Viz Media has been releasing the manga here and got all caught up way back in 2010 with the ninth volume released that summer.
The book is scheduled for April 21st, 2015 and is priced at $12.99. No eleventh volume has been scheduled in Japan yet.
Series concept: The story follows a team of mercenaries known as Lagoon Company, who smuggle goods in and around the seas of Southeast Asia. Their base of operations is located in the fictional city of Roanapur in Thailand, and they transport goods in the PT boat Black Lagoon. Lagoon Company does business with various clients, but has a particularly friendly relationship with the Russian crime syndicate Hotel Moscow. The team takes on a variety of missions – which may involve violent firefights, hand-to-hand combat, and nautical battles – in various Southeast Asian locations.
