‘Tamayura’ Anime Film Gets Extended Length Trailer

2 min read

Tamayura Movie HeaderWith two TV series behind it, a four episode OVA story and a couple of specials as well, the first of a four part series of films for Tamayura is set to land on April 4th, 2015. As is mostly standard operating procedure in Japan, it’s only in the couple of weeks prior to the films opening that we get a real trailer in the sense that Hollywood does trailers as this one clocks in at just under three minutes and really focuses on showing the story, characters and music for it.

The feature series is designed to bring the whole story to a close with most of the team from the TV run returning to it with Junichi Sato handling series composition and directorial duties as the original creator while working off the script from Reiko Yoshida. Haruko Iizuka is handling the character designs and serving as the chief animation director.

The film stars Kana Asumi as Kaoru Hanawa, Yuka Iguchi as Nori Okazaki, Yuko Gibu as Maon Sakurada and Ayana Taketatsu as Fuu Sawatari as they reprise their roles from the series.

The property began with a first season that began airing back in 2011 and returned for a second season in the summer of 2013. An extra episode was included with the 7th volume of the home video release and there have been five OVAs as well.

Plot Concept: The story takes place in Seto Inland Sea and is about a girl who likes taking pictures.
