The upcoming series with Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold has gotten a bit of new information, though mostly just confirmations, as Toei has set their series page live in English. There aren’t too many surprises here, but we get the confirmation again that it will be a spring series. The new original net animation series is now scheduled for a spring 2015 debut with the main staff and cast returning to the project. The series will be directed by Takeshi Furuta based on scripts by Toshimitsu Takeuchi and character designs by Hideyuki Motohashi.
Toei Animation announced the production of a new original Saint Seiya series: Saint Seiya – Soul of Gold. This new anime will start airing in April!
Focusing on the Gold Saints, the series’ storyline will develop right after the Hades chapter when they mysteriously come back to life in Asgard!
This new series is produced by Mr. Atsutoshi Umezawa who also worked on Sailor Moon Crystal and Mr. Hideyuki Motohashi, the character designer of this new series, was also the animation director of Saint Seiya Hades Chapter Sanctuary.

The original work from Masami Kurumada ran in the late 80′s and there was renewed interest after the 2012 series Saint Seiya Omega made its way out and ran for two years. With a new 3DCG film last year as well, there’s still plenty of interest, particularly outside of Japan in South America and parts of Europe.
