Hack Roots HuluFUNimation is bringing out a good bit of material for the .hack world these days and their current plan is to bring out two episodes of .hack//ROOTS every Tuesday on their site for members who have either a SubPass or an All-AccessPassHack. The first few episodes showed up previously on Hulu and more will show up there, but for now they’re on the FUNimation site itself as the first eight episodes are now streaming there, which you can find here. The show is a twenty-six episode series which originally aired back in 2006 during the spring and summer from Bee Train.

FUNimation is releasing the show on May 19th, 2015 in a .hack//Roots: Complete Collection which will feature the bilingual presentation as well as extras including aPromo Video, TV Spots, DVD Release Announcements, Textless Opening Song ”Silly-Go-Round” and the Textless Closing Song ”Boukoku Kakusei Catharsis”.

Plot concept: In the newest version of the massive online RPG know as “The World,” Haseo and his guild mates search for alegendary item called the Key of the Twilight—but they’re not the only ones looking for it. When a rival guild faces off against Haseo and his teammates, the conflict has deep repercussions both inside and outside the game, and threatens to leave the players forever changed.
