Viz Media made a smart move recently in launching One-Punch Man in their digital edition of Weekly Shonen Jump as the property is now slated for an anime adaptation in Japan. The manga comes from ONE and Yusuke Murata, which began in 2012 in Tonari no Young Jump online after it was originally started back in 2009 by Murata online. The project doesn’t have any details yet but the cast and staff are set to be announced with a new promotional video that will debut at Anime Japan 2015 on March 21st and 22nd. The manga has six volumes released so far, making it easy to imagine this will be a single season series when it lands.
Viz Media has been releasing the manga in digital form only, though one can expect to hear that it’ll make the leap to print in the near future.
