While there’s no real details to be had yet, the official Z/X Trading Card Game site has updated to reveal that a new anime project has been approved for Z/X: Zillions of Enemy X. The project, if it turns out to be a TV series, would be the latest one after the winter 2014 series Z/X Ingition, which was simulcast last year but didn’t have anyone pick up further rights for it. It’s unclear if the new project is a continuation of the previous series or something new.
Z/X Ignition Concept: The story is set in the not-so-distant future. Five “Black Points” suddenly appeared around the world as portals to parallel worlds. Immediately after, strange creatures began their invasion from these portals. These creatures are the inhabitants of five worlds—the same worlds in different timeframes. In order to ensure their own future timeframe survives, each of the five invasion forces battle to wipe the other future timeframes out. The key is one card-shaped device.
