‘Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic’ Anime Gets Premiere Date

2 min read

kinmosaWe’ve known for awhile that the second season of Kiniro Mosaic, which is getting called Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic, is set to premiere in April on AT-X, TOKYO MX, San TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi and BS11. We’ve had some promo material and decent updates on the show, but now the official Japanese site has updated with a premiere date for it it, revealing an April 5th debut on AT-X and then spiraling out onto other broadcasters until the 9th. The first season run during the summer of 2013 and got a confirmation this past spring that a second season was coming.

The first series, produced by Studio Gokumi with Showgate, brought about another school based show that was directed by Motoki Tanaka. Tanaka is definitely returning with it at Studio Gokumi with Yuniko Ayana handling the scripting duties. Kazuyuki Ueda is also on board for character design. The cast is all back as well for the new season, which isn’t unexpected, but it’s always good to hear since you never know what conflicts could arise that could keep someone out of it.

The first season has been licensed and released by Sentai Filmworks. You can read our review here.

Plot concept: The story begins with Oomiya Shinobu, a 15-year-old, seemingly pure Japanese girl who actually did a homestay in Great Britain. Even after coming back to Japan, she still misses her time overseas. One day, an airmail letter arrives from Alice, the girl in Shinobu’s host family in Great Britain. The letter reads: Shinobu, I’m coming to Japan! The Japanese/British girls’ mixed comedy follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from both Japan and Great Britain.
