After giving us an assassin the last time around, the show this time shifts to Lutgarnikov and Haruka trying to stay warm as it’s snowing out and they refuse to get out from the kotatsu. And who could blame them? Amusingly, they try to claim it’s a fortress and military weapon now, as well as shelter, so it gives them the perfect excuse to stay in it all the more. Seeing it go through the transformation process is definitely amusing though. It takes a fun “twist” when Shachirov ends up showing up and takes control of it in her own laid back way and it turns into a battle of mechanized kotatsus. Kotatsi? Either way, it’s goofy.
In Summary:
While no new characters are introduced here, which is a good thing, we do get some fun with the first two girls getting a bit more time and focus. There’s a kind of wonky feeling about the show in general, but it fits its origins pretty well and I’m mildly amused by the whole weaponizing a kotatsu and turning it into a full on mobile weapons platform. The show continues to work the kind of overdone chaotic feeling, but not as bad as some other series, but mostly it falls into the same trap as most three minute shows in being able to pace itself without seeming like it’s running a mile a minute.
