After getting the cast earlier in the week, we’ve now got the first trailer for the upcoming DC Animation feature film Batman Vs. Robin. This one works off of the material in the Batman: Court of Owls storyline from the New 52 comics that were done by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
The cast for the animated feature includes Jason O’Mara as Batman, Stuart Allan as Damian/Robin, Sean Maher as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, David McCallum as Alfred, Jeremy Sisto as Talon, Grey Griffin (Delisle) as Samantha, “Weird Al” Yankovic as Dollmaker, Robin Atkin Downs as the Grandmaster, Peter Onorati as Draco and Kevin Conroy as Thomas Wayne.
The movie will be directed by Jay Oliva, who directed Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and Justice League: War. It’s been scripted by J.M. DeMatteis. DC Animation plans to premiere the film at Wondercon this April with plans for a Spring 2015 home video and digital release.
Plot concept: The storyline tells of a secret society dating back to the early days of Gotham City that kidnaps children and raises them to be assassins.
