While OVAs continue to be a shadow of what they once were years ago, new ones do get produced fairly regularly. The latest one to get the nod is that of Kurage no Shokudo, which will be adapting the light novel series of the same name by Miyako Aoyama. The show has been finished in terms of recording according to the Kodansha site for the novel with it being revealed that there will be a DVD and Blu-ray box set for the show in the spring. The show will star Goro Kurihara, Kenta Zaima, Konori Saitō, Masaya Matsukaze, Satomi Koorogi, and Sayuri Sadaoka.
The OVA will be directed by Hiromi Taniguchi, who also designed the characters. Chika Suzumura handled the scripts.
Plot concept: Yōtarō Misaki finds himself lying on the beach one day. He is picked up by Arashi, who manages a restaurant called Kurage no Shokudō. When asked who he is, the protagonist tells a lie that he lost his memory — but he remembers everything, including the fact that his twin brother died.
