Best ED: Witch Craft Works and Rage of Bahamut Genesis
While there were many contenders for Best Ending, two shows scored the most highly out of the group: Rage of Bahamut Genesis and Witch Craft Works. Our voters didn’t say much why they liked the ending to Bahamut. It’s a rather strange ED in my opinion, with its Engrishy lyrics in Risa Shimizu’s “Promised Land,” though visually it’s fairly stunning, with an almost dream-like quality to the movements of the characters in an imagined landscape.

The other winner is among my personal favorites. Sure, Brian Threlkeld is right to call it “shameless ear-candy,” but he goes on to note “it’s happy and strange and surprisingly clever and never boring to watch, like the show itself.” And I never thought that it would be possible to make a cute and amusing video featuring witches being put to torture. Somehow, they made it work.
