With production having wrapped earlier and some whispers that the trailers are getting their ratings in various locations around the world, we’re close to getting our first look at Ant-Man in action. The film has been one without a lot of fanfare during its production, outside of its volatile start, so there hasn’t been a lot to feed the rumor mill. We’d gotten a look at what the Yellowjacket costume would look like before, but now it’s getting confirmed more with a new theatrical banner that puts him and the title character together in the space, along with a lot of ants.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the film lands on July 17th, 2015. It stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, Patrick Wilson, Evangeline Lilly, and Corey Stoll.
Plot concept: Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
