‘Tsukimonogatari’ Anime Getting Daisuki Distribution

The big New Years Eve anime presentation this year is almost upon us with Tsukimonogatari and now the distribution plans are starting to become revealed. The four episode show, being broadcast as one marathon special, is getting an exclusive distribution for the first thirty days on Daisukie and will be available to audiences in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa with English subtitles. This particular arc comes from the September 26th, 2012 novel of the same name which is the tenth part of the Monogatari series as a whole, but is the thirteenth novel in the overall series. It’s also the first book in the final season of the series. The Tsukimonogatari storyline that will air as a special on December 31st, 2014 on Tokyo MX, BS11 and NicoNico for Japanese fans.

Set for February 4th and March 4th respectively in Japan, the Blu-ray releases will be priced at 7,560 yen each while the DVDs are slotted at 6,480 yen each. The Blu-ray releases, which are limited editions, will include a newly written character commentary from NisiOisin while also coming with a booklet and a new pinup. There will be an audio commentary track as well as done by the characters.

Plot concept: “Please!—Do it, and get it over with.” Slowly but surely, Koyomi Araragi, who “has been averting his eyes from reality”, has no choice but to face it. February comes, and the college entrance exam is approaching. What is this “change” that is happening to his body that cannot be overlooked? The “Monogatari” begins to sprint towards its conclusion. This is Oddity taking place in the modern world! In a story of youth, a word of farewell is inevitable.
