‘Military!’ Anime Gets Japanese DVD Release Plans Revealed

2 min read

The winter 2015 short form anime series Military! is getting closer to its broadcast debut and now the home video release information has arrived. Not surprising with many short form series is that this is getting a DVD only release, which will arrive on March 20th, 2015 for 5,400 yen. The release will come with a booklet while on disc extras will include the clean ending sequences, promotional videos and commercials as well as an audio commentary.

With five manga volumes published between 2009 and 2013 and a new series that kicked off this year, Miritari! from Mamo Williams is set to run with five minute episodes when it debuts. The four panel manga series pretty much gives us the idea of cute girls and military material to work with as it wants to play up the continuing trend that’s out there. Hiroshi Mitani is directing the series at Dream Creation, which works on numerous short-form series, with Yoshihiro Nagamori working on the character designs.

The series stars Nao Toyama as Lieutenant Rtgalnikov, Misaki Suzuki as Aria, Ayane Sakura as Second Lieutenant Haruka, Ayano Terasaki as Yukari Mizuno, Inori Minase as Shachirofu and Yoshitaka Yamaya as Souhei Yano.

Plot concept: The story takes place during a conflict between the Krakozhia Dukedom and the Grania Republic. In the midst of the fighting, a savior appears to the Krakozhia Dukedom, and it is a high school student named Sōhei Yano. Two female soldiers, First Lieutenant Ruto and Second Lieutenant Haruka, appear in tanks to intrude on Sōhei’s everyday life, followed by the enemy soldier Shachirofu, all of whom use firearms without hesitation at his house.
