Marvel Disk Wars – The Avengers has definitely had a lot of fun over its run so far and that’s not slowing down at all here. Ahead of episode forty, which will arrive on January 7th, 2015, TV Tokyo is now showing off a new promo for the piece. While Loki continues to be the big bad in the series overall, there’s a lot of fun guest appearances on both sides of the good guy and bad guy coin. One that kind of straddles it is returning as well as Deadpool is entering the mix here as things start to turn in the larger storyline. Check out the first anime promo for the episode below!
The series is produced by Toei Animation, which is a change of pace for Marvel properties in Japan that have largely been done by Madhouse.
Plot concept: Portable capturing devices known as “DISKs” were developed to capture evil villains. However, thanks to Loki’s machinations, both villains and heroes are sealed up in these Disks and scattered around the world. Amid the chaos, five youths obtained the power to restore these DISK-sealed heroes through a program called “Biocode.” These youths received five DISKs that Spider-Man, who narrowly escaped being sealed himself, retrieved. Thus, these five can restore Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and Wasp — the Avengers!
