With the midseason finale behind us for Agents of SHIELD, the show has definitely made the most out of the cast this season by making them more moving parts of a larger whole that can be moved and changed out as needed. We’ve gotten a good bit of backstory on a few characters as well, which has helped to change the dynamic a but as the new characters altered the landscape. Now it looks like things will get more interesting in the second half of the season when it debuts in March 2015 as Blair Underwood has joined the show in the role of Dr. Andrew Garner, Melinda May’s ex-husband that she’s referenced a few times over the series so far. The number of episodes he’ll be involved in hasn’t been revealed, but with a solid TV history himself, including the recent Ironside show that was cancelled, it’s expected he’ll have a couple of episodes that will show us a different side of Melinda May, played by Min-Na Wen.
