TMS Entertainment is continuing to bring out more of their catalog on Hulu to at least get a few clicks and some pennies off their properties rather than letting them sit idle. The latest one to arrive is the 47 episode series Karate Master, a series that ran back in 1973 based on the manga by Ikki Kajiwara, who created noteworthy properties such as Ashita no Joe and Tiger Mask.
The entire 47 episode run is presented in its original Japanese language form with English subtitles and is available for Hulu Plus members with additional benefits of streaming to TV apps and digital devices.
Plot concept: The story begins as Ken, the only survivor of his commando unit, is discharged from his military duties. Worn out by the perils of war, Ken has lost his drive and motivation to live amongst the state of confusion that exists in the postwar period. Desperate and in despair, Ken finds that he must capitalize on his great physical strength by becoming a bouncer for a band of thugs and hooligans.Kens life has been one which has been filled with violence and self destruction until he comes across a book which changes his life forever…
