With the official site for Angel Beats! in Japan having updated with a countdown timer until a newly announced conference on December 22nd, the tease of new material for the show is growing strong. A new project is in the works between Key Visual Arts, who is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and Aniplex and it’s expected that some new form of animatin is likely coming, particularly as you can see some hints of it in the video below regarding the conference. The series originally ran back in 2010 and has been licensed and released by Sentai Filmworks in North America with sublicensing in several other territories.

Plot concept: It sucks being dead. It sucks even more to be trapped in a surreal afterlife where you’re caught between the living and the dead – where a mysterious, violent Angel is trying to pull you over to… somewhere. What do you do? Well, if you’re this group of rough-and-tumble teens, you grab every weapon you can get your hands on and give Heaven hell!

  1. Oh my goodness, the feels! I can feel the feels rushing back!

I wonder what will be different since Aniplex (California) is working on this instead of Sentai (Texas). I’m sort of a noob when it comes to this stuff.
