idolmaster cinderella girls image 1Announced in April, there are some new developments regarding the anime adaptation of the social mobile game of IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls. We’ve had some decent key visuals released over the summer season, stills from the first episode and the first promo video for the show that will premiere on January 9th, 2015 on Tokyo MX. Now the larger plans are being put into place as a new promo video has landed that clocks in at almost three minutes. Dengeki Online is also talking about a new CD series for the show, a web radio program, a web radio party to get people excited for it and more game and anime linking to come. There’s also going to be a series of stage events held in Hong Kong in Februray 2015.

The show is also getting worldwide distribution with Aniplex handling it through Daisuki where it’ll see subtitles in English, Korean and Chinese for subtitles. Aniplex has done a lot through Daisuki and almost, but not always, brings the show to other distribution channels as well. Time will tell if this will be a Daisuki exclusive.

The new series, which will be produced by A-1 Pictures, is set to debut in January 2015 based on the mobile game of the same name and will feature the return of Noriko Takao to direct the series. Composition will be done by Tatsuya Takahashi while Yuusuke Matsuo will be handling the character designs.

The series stars Ayaka Fukuhara as Rin Shibuya, Ayaka Ohashi as Uzuki Shimamura, Sayuri Hara as Mio Honda, Natsumi Takamori as Miku Maekawa, Nozomi Yamamoto as Rika Jōgasaki and Ruriko Aoki as Riina Tada.
