The new arrived yesterday that Viz Media had picked up the rights to Yoshiaki Sukeno’s manga series Twin Star Exorcists and now the company is talking a bit more about it. The series is now confirmed for its summer 2015 launch and that it will be getting both a print and digital release, something that was not talked about yesterday. The company intends to release two volumes a year until they catch up, which will happen relatively soon since it has three volumes so far since debuting in 2013.

“We’re very excited to announce TWIN STAR EXORCISTS as a new manga series set to join our Shonen Jump publishing roster next summer,” says Hope Donovan, Managing Editor. “In Japan, it has become one of the most popular series in the Shonen Jump line of manga and the series scored very high among readers. We are looking forward to launching TWIN STAR EXORCISTS for a new legion of English-language fans around the world!”

Yoshiaki Sukeno’s previous series, the supernatural manga comedy Binbougami ga!, was adapted into the anime Good Luck Girl in 2012.

Plot concept: Beings from the dark realm of Magano creep into our world and can only be expelled by talented exorcists. Rokuro is from a family of exorcists, but after a terrible disaster, he’d rather be a singer, a soccer player or anything else! He’s forced to own up to his incredible potential by the arrival of Benio, an exorcist who’s more than his match and stirs his competitive spirit. When neither can top the other in supernatural combat, they earn the title of “Twin Star Exorcists” – two supreme fighters fated to marry and birth the ultimate spiritual warrior. Will these rivals fall in love? The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance!
