While frustrating or offending a lot of anime fans with what it’s been doing, Cross Ange continues its roll out and new fans are discovering it. The latest avenue for it is with Hulu, where surprisingly we didn’t see a TV-MA warning wit hit. Those with a Hulu Plus subscription can watch this show on their TV and mobile devices. The Surnise original series debuted a few weeks back as part of the fall season and Sentai Filmworks picked up the home video and additional digital distribution rights and is now exercising some of them with a roll out on the service. The series is directed by Yoshiharu Ashino with Tatsuto Higuchi handling the scripts. Yuusuke Matsuo came up with the character concepts while Sayaka Ono has handled the action design. Sunrise is, of course, the animation production side of this series.

You can catch the first episode below!

Plot concept: Leveraging the advancement in technology – called “Mana”, humanity has been able to eliminate all wars, starvation, pollution, and other problems on Earth by using its power. Earth has become a peaceful utopia free of material needs.

CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon focuses on the first princess of the Empire of Misurugi, Angelise. She is the celebrated ruler of the Empire until one day she finds out the shocking truth that she is a “Norma” – an irregular being who cannot use “Mana”, and are treated as “things” rather than people. Having her name taken from her, Ange isolates herself on a remote island. There, she finds a group of Norma women who spend their days hunting dragons that have come to invade.
