‘Hellboy And The B.P.R.D.’ Series Previewed

Hellboy and the BPROD Issue 1 CoverDark Horse Comics is certainly celebrating the fact that it’s the 20th anniversary of Hellboy and this new series, Hellboy and the B.P.R.D., is definitely one of the best ways to do it. The new miniseries is slated for a December 3rd, 2014 debut priced at $3.50 an issue as it brings together Mike Mignola and John Arcudi to write it with Alex Maleev handling the art chores, who also did the gorgeous cover artwork as well. The new series is set in 1952 as it delves into some of the things from the past in a big way with his very first field mission with the B.P.R.D.

Plot concept: A bizarre series of murders and rumors of something worse lead Professor Bruttenholm to send a young Hellboy to a Brazilian village on his first mission. Hellboy and a small group of agents uncover something terrible in the shadows of a sixteenth-century Portuguese fortress . . .
