Marvel Comics is looking to do a bit to boost up the Spider-Woman series that debuts next month by providing a new variant for the second issue that lands on December 17th, 2014 – not long after Guardians of the Galaxy arrives on home video. The issue, which hasn’t had its own cover revealed yet, will have a variant that will feature a pretty good image for Rocket and Groot as they continue to find their way across a lot of variants this season. This one is being illustrated by Simone Bianchi.
“We were totally overwhelmed by the response to the Rocket Raccoon & Groot variants when we released them last month,” says Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel. “When Simone Bianchi said he wanted to do one too, we couldn’t resist! We couldn’t be happier with the stunning cover he turned in.”
