Here’s an out of left field acquisition as FUNimation has just announced that they’ve picked up the rights to the fall 2013 series Wanna Be the Strongest in the World!. Originally known as Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!, the series will be getting a release in 2015 from them on DVD/BD with an English language dub. FUNimation is also bringing the series to their streaming service today with the entire run available as of 1pm ET for viewers with FUNimation subscribers able to get all twelve episodes in high definition as well.
The series was previously simulcast by Crunchyroll when it originally aired.
Plot concept: The eye-popping world of women’s professional wrestling is sweaty, sadistic, and savagely sexy.
