After a lot of controversy over some variant cover material earlier this summer, Marvel Comics is now showing off the first few pages and main cover for the new Spider-Woman series, which is spinning out of the events of the current Spider-Verse mini event going on. the new series comes from the creative team of Dennis Hopeless and Greg Land.
“This is the start of something very big for Spider-Woman,” says Senior Editor Nick Lowe. “Yes, it’s a big part of Spider-Verse, but this is going to be a character defining first arc for the SPIDER-WOMAN ongoing series.”
Plot concept: Jessica Drew has been many things – agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., agent of S.W.O.R.D., Avenger and so much more. She’s a hero to her very core, but nothing could prepare her for the multidimensional insanity of Spider-Verse! War has come to anyone with spider powers and they’re being picked off one by one.
