Announced in late September, Media Factory is planning a priced-down Blu-ray box set in Japan for Dance in the Vampire Bund and now they’ve brought out the first TV spot for it to get preorder interest going a bit more amid the new fall season slate of shows. The company has set a January 28th, 2015 release date for the set that will be priced at 21,600 yen where the twelve episode run will be spread across two discs. Part of this release is to appeal to those that are coming into the recently started new manga series that’s going on and squeeze a little more life out of the property. It also gives hope that there may be enough of a revival to justify more material being animated.

The set looks to have most of what we saw previously in the box as it has the entire season, a new box, an audio commentary and a slew of other extras such as the ending pinups, a twelve page booklet and a collection of commercials, itnermission material the clean opening and closings as well as the 48 minute interview sequence that was done as part of the Club AT-X broadcast.

FUNimation previously released the series in North America on both DVD and Blu-ray.

Plot concept: When Mina Tepes – queen of the vampires – suddenly appears in Japan to establish a colony for her blood-sucking brethren, Akira Kaburagi’s world will never be the same. As a boy, Akira vowed to serve the ruler of the night, and now he must fulfill his destiny by protecting Mina from those who would dethrone her!
