Announced as in production in early August, Kadokawa has revealed the first promotion for the anime adaptation of the light novel series Shinmai Maou no Keiyakusha, also known as The Testament of Sister New Devil. The series is also confirmed for a January 2015 debut on most of the usual networks in Japan . The book comes from writer Tetsuto Uesu with artwork by Nekosuke Ookuma that began in 2012 and has six volumes to its name so far. This is the second anime adaptation of one of Uesu’s properties as we previously saw Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero get adapted, which was streamed and licensed in North America by FUNimation. The anime adaptation is being set up at Production IMS where it will be directed by Hisashi Saito based on scripts by Takao Yoshioka and character designs by Yoshihiro Watanabe.
Plot concept: The revolves around Basara Tojo, a first-year high school student who is flustered by a sudden question by his eccentric father, “Hey, didn’t you used to say you wanted a little sister?” Plus, his father announces that he is getting remarried. His father brings over two beautiful step-sisters, but then embarks on an overseas trip. However, the two sisters Mio and Maria Naruse are actually a novice devil and succubus.
