Beyond Home Entertainment Adds More ‘Pokemon’ Anime DVD Sets

4 min read

Pokemon Season 1-2After previously revealing a fantastically designed Pokemon collection for Australian release, Beyond Home Entertainment has now finalized two more releases that will land on November 19th, 2014, a month ahead of the Heritage collection. The first release is a Pokemon Season 1 & 2 Gift Set, which you can see the package for to the right, as it brings together 2,244 minutes of material across twelve DVDs in the release. The second set out is the Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire Region Collector’s Edition, which is priced higher as it has nearly double the content at 4,224 minutes of material spread across twenty-three DVDs in the box set.

For Pokemon fans, this is great, compact and appealing ways of getting a ton of content together in a smaller space. Something we’ll hopefully see in North American releases sometime.

Pokemon Season 1 & 2 Gift Set – $49.95

Season 1 – Catch the Pokémon story right from the very beginning! Meet Ash Ketchum, a 10-year-old boy from Pallet Town, who has an insatiable curiosity for Pokémon. Accompanied by his new friend Pikachu, Ash is about to embark on his quest to become the Greatest Pokémon Master Of All Time! Season 2 – After a stop in Pallet Town, Ash, Misty and Brock set out to find a rare and mysterious Poké Ball for Professor Oak. Their quest leads them to the Orange Islands, where Ash decides to battle in the Orange League Tournament. With new friends to meet, new Pokémon to discover, and tough new trainers to challenge them, the adventures never end for Ash and his friends!

Ash might not be able to see them all, but he’s ready to try!
He’s also ready to battle his way to the top of the Hoenn League, but his new friend May isn’t interested in Pokémon—she wants to travel the world! That is, until her adventures with Ash inspire her to become a Pokémon Coordinator with championship dreams of her own. Together with May’s little brother Max and Ash’s old friend Brock, Ash and May are off on an epic journey across Hoenn!
