After streaming the first season of the series with selector infected WIXOSS, FUNimation is back with the second season, which has the new name of selector spread WIXOSS. FUNimation will be bringing out the series this fall on their service, though they don’t have firm dates and premiere times yet.The show is set to premiere in Japan on October 3rd on TOKYO MX and then a staggered roll out over the next six days on multiple networks, including the October 6th debut of it on AT-X and BS11. The series, which has Warner Japan distributing the video, is animated by JC Staff with Takuya Sato directing based on scripts by Mari Okada and character designs by Kyuta Sakai. The cast includes Ai Kakuma, Misaki Kuno, Ayane Sakura, Ai Kayano, Chinatsu Akasaki, Asami Seto, Yusuke Kobayashi, Ayako Kawasumi and Rie Kugimiya.
Plot concept: After Ruko battled to free the LRIGs in selector infected WIXOSS, the series returns for a second season with selector spread WIXOSS. Kanon Wakeshima, who performed the first season’s opener, also returns with spread’s opener, “world’s end, girl’s rondo”. Join Ruko once more in the strange world of the popular game, WIXOSS.
