FUNimation is going to build up the anticipation for the home video release of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods by bringing out a series of interview clips with actors from the film. The first one up is voice actor Jason Douglas, who takes on the role of Beerus here. The first two interview pieces with him are below!

The release is slated for October 7th, 2014 where it’ll be available on DVD/BD combo pack form, DVD standalone and Digital HD release. The big thing to note with this is that the DVD/BD combo pack version comes with two versions of the film, the uncut version with twenty minutes of never before seen footage, and the theatrical version. It also includes 30 minutes of bonus features, such as a behind the scenes sequence with the English language voice actors, delveing into the cast and the clean closing version. That release is priced at $34.98.

Feature concept: Following the events of the Dragon Ball Z television series, after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power awakens and threatens humanity. Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumors of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z-fighters must find a way to stop him before it’s too late. Only Goku, humanity’s last hope, can ascend to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus’s from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe!
