‘God Eater’ Games Getting Anime TV Series

Amid a lot of information about the upcoming God Eater 2 Rage Burst game and the God Eater 5th anniversary event at the Tokyo Game Show, Bandai Namco Games announced that the God Eater franchise is going to get an anime adaptation. The company didn’t provide any serious details about it for fans to really sink their teeth into, but they did announce that it would be produced by studio ufotable.

ufotable previously produced a God Eater Prologue special back in 2009 that was directed by Takayuki Hirao, which had a twelve minute run time.

‘God Eater’ Games Getting Anime TV Series The game sets in Japan in the year 2071 where the world has been mostly destroyed by mysterious monsters known as the Aragami. An organization known as Fenrir was made to exterminating Aragami using weapons called God Arcs made from the cells of an Aragami. Those who specialize in exterminating Aragami are known as God Eaters. Originally God Eaters had one type in which their God Arcs can only keep gun form or blade form, however a new type has been discovered that can switch between gun and blade form. Since then they have been classified new-types and the previous as old-types.
