Discotek Media is looking to make a lot of anime fans happy for Christmas as they’ve now scheduled a December 23rd, 2014 release for Horus, Prince of the Sun, aka Little Norse Prince. They’ve also released a look at the DVD artwork for the release, which you can see to the right. The initial announcement earlier this year has not indicated any Blu-ray release, though the film has seen a release in Japan on the format and is part of an upcoming Japanese collection as well. The feature is an important one for animation and anime fans as it features Hayao Miyazaki working on key animation while long time partner Isao Takahata directed it. The feature has an English language adaptation out there, which you can check out legally through Hulu below, but Discotek Media has not indicated what their release will be like or what formats it will have nor a tentative release date.
