While Love Stage!! is about to end its broadcast run, there’s a little more love ahead for fans of it with the manga bundled OVA. Kadokawa previously revealed the first TV spot for the upcoming OVA episode that will be bundled with the fifth volume of the manga and now a second teaser spot has come in that’s slightly longer. That releases is due out on November 22nd and will have the episode on DVD only for those that get their preorders in ahead of the September 19th, 2014 cutoff date.
The TV series debuted on July 9th, 2014 JC Staff adapting the work that’s based off of the manga by Eiki Eiki and Taishi Zao. Serialized in Asuka Ciel, the title has been running since the summer of 2010 and has also had a spinoff called Back Stage!! as well. The series has three volumes to its name so far and continues to be ongoing. The TV series will see its debut on DVD and Blu-ray on September 6th, 2014 with volumes following monthly from there until the final volume lands on January 30th, 2015. The DVD releases are priced at 6,600 yen each while the Blu-ray releases are priced at 7,600 yen each. Details are light on what’s going to be included with the release but listings indicated a two disc release, so it’s likely to have some form of character or song CDs associated with it.
The series is directed by Kenichi Kasai based on scripts/composition by Michiko Yokote while Yoko Ito is handling the character designs.
Plot Concept: With a father who’s a singer, a mother who’s a movie star, and an older brother Shougo who’s the lead vocalist for the super-popular band ‘The Crusherz’, Sena Izumi–an otaku college student–is the only dull one born into this super famous and talented family. He loves “Magical Girl LalaLulu” and is working hard to become a mangaka, but one day he winds up appearing in a TV commercial he just can’t turn down. There, he’s reunited with Ichijou Ryouma, the super-popular young actor he costarred with on a project ten years prior.
