The anime adaptation of Insufficient Direction, aka Kantoku Fufyuki Todoki, ran this past spring for thirteen episodes at 3 minutes each as it dealt with the manga/essay work by Moyoco Anno. Now a home video release has been set by Happinet that has the full show coming to DVD only on November 22nd, 2014. The set is priced at 3,564 yen and comes with a few extras. While the main show runs 39 minutes total, there looks to be about 20 minutes of extras, including a re-edited special edition version of the original work which has sold over 300,000 copies in that form. The on disc extra is a 20 minute making of piece and there looks  to be other pieces, though it’s unclear if it’s on-disc material or part of a booklet.

Plot Concept: This is the anime adaptation of Kantoku Fuyuki Todoki (Insufficient Direction), the first essay manga by the “queen of the manga world,” Moyoco Anno. The comedic and heartwarming autobiographical story follows her everyday married “otaku lifestyle” with Hideaki Anno, “the founder of the otaku cult.”
