Dark Horse Comics looks to be going back to one of the bigger movie properties and franchises this fall and into 2015 as the overall plans of working the Aliens and Predator franchise are taking shape. They’ve now released a new promotional video talking about Aliens: Fire and Stone, which is written by Chris Roberson and illustrated by Patrick Reynolds, along with several pages of finalized artwork and dialogue for the book. The new miniseries is set to kick off on September 24th, 2014 at $3.50 an issue. Check out the video below and sample the pages and art style as they move away from the militaristic style for this story and return to the haunted house in space aspect.
Plot concept: During a vicious xenomorph outbreak, terraforming engineer Derrick Russell leads a desperate group of survivors onto a rickety mining vessel. They hope to escape the creatures overrunning their colony—but they’ll face horrors both in space and on the strange planet they crash on. Ties in with the Prometheus and Aliens films!
