The campaign to build up anticipation for the Star Wars Rebels series is definitely out there and the official Star Wars YouTube channel is making sure that all the viewers there know about it. The newest addition to the channel is a new three minute clip from the show that gives us an early look at Ezra from the opening episode. The series is set to have its one hour premiere on September 29th, 2014 and will roll into its TV series debut on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at 9pm ET on the Disney Channel before going to Disney XD for its main debut on October 13th, 2014 at 9pm.
The one hour premiere will be called Star Wars Rebels: Spark Of Rebellion. The series will air in 34 languages across 163 countries in over 400 million households.
With the series exploring the time between the third and fourth installments and taking a lot of cues from the McQuarrie artwork, it’s settling in well to its design and has a lot of potential.
The series stars Freddie Prinze, Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall.
Plot concept: Set between the events of Episode III and IV — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen. It takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.
