The light novel series Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu is getting things on order for its upcoming anime adaptation, but that also means there has to be a manga adaptation because there’s markets to be exploited there. The manga adaptation has now landed in the newest issue of Monthly Big Gangan and you can see the opening color plate page to the right. The adaptation is being handled by Ryouta Yuzuki as he works off of the original novel series.
The anime series will be directed by Hiroyuki Kanbe at Production IMS based on scripts by Naruhisa Arakawa and character designs by Kazuaki Morita. Toru Kitahata is serving in the production as the assistant director while Masahiro Yamane is on board to work on the action animation and alien design. Studio Noise is handling set design while Tetsuya Watanabe has signed on to handle 3D direction.
The anime series stars Nobunaga Shimazaki as Sōji Mitsuka, Maaya Uchida as Thouars, Chinatsu Akasaki as Erina Shindō, M.A.O as Mikoto Sakuragawa, Yōko Hikasa as Isna, Tesshô Genda as Lizadgildy, Tetsu Inada as Draggildy and Sumire Uesaka as Tail Red. The opening song is being done by Maaya Uchida while the ending song is being done by the three main voice actresses.
Plot concept: Mitsuka Souji is a first year high school student who greatly loves the “twintails” hairstyle. One day a beautiful girl, Thuearle, who comes from another world suddenly appeared in front of him and gave him the power to transform into the twintails warrior TailRed. Now Souji, with the help of his childhood friend Tsube Aika who can becomes the twintails warrior TailBlue, must fight in order to protect the peace on earth.
